Some Words from the Author
Dear Friends,
I wish that you forgive me for not replying your comments from last Friday on, because I was operated of my right eye that makes it difficult lto use the the computer since I can not stand the light that causes tremendous pain to my eye. I should start by explaining how this started…two years ago I was making preparatives to be operated of a case of starting cataracts in both my eyes, the the eye specialist told me that I had Pterhygium “ Surfer Syndrome” which is that people that spend a lot of time under UV light, beach, fishing, outdoors, etc. Right after I was operated of both eyes, The eye specialist was reluctant to operate the cataracts. Then the lockdown started for Covid-19. However, my vision was decreasing and having difficulty to read text and I noticed the lack on intensity of colors. So, I was reccomended another eye specialist by a friend as a second opinion. This doctor found that my corneas have the curvatures warped that would make it impossible to correct with any glasses, therefore, the cataracts are not the cause but corneas. The operation is to reshape the corneas and have normal measures.Once the corneas are corrected and healed,Then, the cataracts will be removed and interocular lens inserted, this will correct my eye sight.
Thank you for your understanding. H.J.

Love this! There’s nothing like boats to make me happy!
Didn’t you used to own a sail boat years ago? I love boats too! Thank you, Linda. 🙂
Didn’t own, but sailed like crazy. Good times!

The operation on my left eye was a success and I will be ready for the operation on my left eye to be done on Sep.16. Thank you so much, dear Julie.
I need cataract surgery and a vitrectomy, but have put them off because I’m a coward. Plus, I’m extremely uncomfortable lying on my back. Eye surgery is even more complicated if patient is thrashing around. Wish I had your courage, or maybe the doc can give me an elephant tranquilizer!
If you put that in a different angle, I had fears myself, like any other human being. But my fears were of loss of my eyesight. Just imagine not being able to see my family, nor exercise my career of Psychology Therapist, neither Art, Photography, Birds, Nature etc.Am I a coward? Thank you for sharing, David. 🙂
Dear HJ, I am sorry you have had so many problems with your eyes. Our eyes and vision, so precious. But I am glad you found solutions, have a plan, and are having your corneas corrected. You are brave. I really like the boat photos, and wish you the best in your healing process.
It is so nice of you to wish me the best in the process of my operations to correct my corneas. Sep. 16, I will be operated on my left eye. Not a walk in the park… Thanks so much, my dear friend. 🙂
Oh HJ! I am so sorry you have had such trouble with your eyes. I am glad your right eye is healing well and best of luck for the operation on your left eye. I will be thinking of you 🙂
Thanks so much, dear Clare. I appreciate your concern. 🙂
🙂
Oh, HJ, I hope you’re fairing well as you read this. I’m soooo behind and haven’t had blogging time, wish I’d seen your post sooner. You are in my prayers, my friend, stay strong!
Thank you very much, Donna. I appreciate it. 🙂
And I’ll be saying extra prayers Sept 16!!
That’s very nice of you, Donna, thank you! 🙂
