  1. I commented before but it hasn’t appeared on the post. What a shock this must have been to you and your family! I am so pleased you are on the ment, my friend. Please take care of yourself ❤

  2. Thank you so much for letting us know what has happened in your life. It’s certainly good to see you, and to know that you’re on the road to recovery. If you spend a little more time bird watching than blogging, we’ll certainly understand! Be well, and keep that recovery going!

    • I’m still utilizing a “walker” to move around my house, I still run a house.. Thank you so much, Linda. I appreciate it. ❤️

  3. Omg, HJ! I’m so happy that you’re well and strong enough to write this post! You and your posts have been such a treasure for so long, and it’s been wonderful to have you back after your recent great loss. God bless your friend and the hospital staff for taking such good care of you. Please take it slow and easy and keep us all updated when you can as you recuperate. ♥️

  4. I am so glad to hear that you are recovered. Take it easy with your blog posts, and when you are well enough to resume normal service, we will still all be here as normal.

  5. Oh my goodness HJ 🫨 as soon as I saw what you wrote I knew what was happening – I know lots of nurses lol. I am glad your friend did the right thing and you are here again.
May you recovery be swift 🙂

  6. That was a shock discovery for you, cannot imagine all those thoughts flashing through your brain. But at least you had very prompt attention and maybe the worst is behind you…… but being patient during recovery is equally as hard, but best to let it take its time. Best wishes

  7. Oh H.J.! I am so glad you got help in time. And have the energy to tell us all about it. Take your time recovering. Sending you all my healing thoughts on the flight of birds’ wings.❤️

  8. Holy cow! That is an unexpected (and unwanted) surprise. I’m glad that you and your doctors are on top of it. Good luck with the rehab; I bet it isn’t fun. And of course, this happens during the winter, so you’ll miss relatively little avian action!

  9. Oh HJ so sorry to hear your news. What a rocky, difficult road you have been on! Take good care of yourself for you and for your sun.
I have had my own dose of medical challenge. Just got diagnosed with breast cancer! Life can be tough at times. I am posting while I can too.

      • It is like the song: “That’s what friends are for…!… Wish all the best for you to be fine and ready to your days, H.J. for avian 101! Hope and Faith!

  10. Oh HJ, what an ordeal you have been through, an important and life-saving surgery. You are brave to go forward and I am relieved you are on the road to recovery. You and your son have been through a lot in the last year…. I hold you both in my heart and wish for you a successful continued recovery.

  11. Oh my goodness, what a wild ride you had there! I’m so glad that you are continuing your recovery. Wishing you and your son a calmer path in the future!
