Photography of Birds – Set # 14
Set # 14
American Oystercatchers
This lovely family of American Oystercatchers really showed me the integral meaning of the word family. The female partner at all moments stayed close to the chicks while the male partner scans the ground for any edible matter and bring it close to the rest of the family. At the same time, he tried all kind of antics in order to keep the photographer far from his family. It was the first time for me to see the oystercatcher as a family with chicks. It was quite an experience for me.
Can you find Waldo? Β (A little infusion of humor)
I’m trying to change the mood of what the media’s news are dwelling these times. A little infusion of humor might give a break in your mind from the dire situations that people are experiencing all over the world. Please, follow the experts’ instructions and never lose hope or your faith. We will prevail over!
Nice to see you holding on to your sense of humor, H.J.!
You have to, in order to keep your sanity. Thanks D. π

Great pictures! But none of your birds are observing social distancing π
That’s great, Indira. You just made another joke. Thanks! π
I like to see oyster catchers. Thank you HJ.
Thank you, Tom. π
Birds are so interesting. I always liked having a pair of doves on my (outside) window ledge, but only last year learned how they share the tasks of nest-building and parenting. I’m sure you know all this, but it was fascinating to me.
Thank you very much, Cynthia. I appreciate your sharing. π
Immagini speciali, che ho davvero apprezzato.
Buon fine settimana, silvia
Grazie mille! π
First time I’ve seen Oystercatcher chicks, so adorable, HJ! And guess what?
I found Waldo! hee hee π
Thank you very much, Donna. π
