Photography of Birds – Set # 13
Set # 13 – Local Bird
Red-winged Blackbird
The Red-winged Blackbirds are back from their migration, I can see them daily. I’m sure they must be hungry from their long trip. The do have a great apetite, which are famous for.
Downy Woodpecker
This little good looking woodpecker is always welcome, I can hear their pecking the barks of the trees almost daily.
The red-winged blackbird’s a favorite — mostly because of their chatter and song.
They are regulars, in my backyard. Thanks, Linda. 🙂
Beautiful pictures of beautiful creatures 🙂
Thank you very much, Farida. 🙂
I like the shot of the woodpecker.
This woodpecker is really shy, I have to be very discrete to get a shot of it. Thanks, Susan. 🙂
That Blackbird is as aerodynamic as the Concorde!
He looks sharp and sleek. Thank you, D. 🙂
I like Downies, with their rat-tat-tat as well as the Red-wing Blackbirds, singing their hearts out. There have been sightings of Mountain Bluebirds south of here, but with a dump of snow and a drop in temperature, I fear they won’t survive. Fingers crossed.
The Eastern Bluebirds should be showing their faces in my backyard very soon. I hope that your Mountain Bluebirds do alright. Thanks, Jane. 🙂
The woodpecker is lovely.
Yes! Thank you, Tom. 🙂
Great shots, HJ, love the Red-winged’s song and the Downys are so adorable! 😊
Thank you very much, Donna. 🙂
Our fence borders on a small creek, and yesterday I was trying to count how many Redwings were singing! I gave up at 7, I can hear more than I can see!
And out Downies come to our feeder on the porch, grabbing bits of suet even when we’re sitting within a few feet. So pretty!
That sounds great, literally! Enjoy those moments, are precious! Thank you very much, 13. 🙂
