Photography of Birds – Set # 9
Set # 9
These Turkey Vultures are just relaxing before they taking off to fly high up to find any kind of carrion. They may cover a large area.
This Black Vulture is smaller than the birds mentioned above. These species also make use of the thermal air currents to keep long flights canvassing for carrion. Notice the difference between these 2 species.
Two very important birds for our survival in this world! π
Those are very true words, Donna. π
Great pictures. Keep well you and your family.
Yes, my dear friend Susan. Promise me that you’ll do the same. π
I will indeed.
Occasionally a few Turkey Vultures will appear in our back yard. They are HUGE, and it’s hard to imagine how they can fly!
They are probably disposing of any death animal (snake, vole, etc.) Don’t worry, M. you’re OK! π
Great to see both species of vultures, HJ, in these wonderful photos. Magnificent flyers and earth cleaners.
I have a lot of admiration for them, one day, they might save the world humanity from illnesses. Thank you, Jet. π
Fascinating birds…excellent images!!
Yes, they are, Indira. Thank you very much. π
