H.J. Ruiz – Avian101

Today is a sunny and fairly warm day. My backyard is quiet and all feeders are filled, nothing is going on. I got bored of waiting for birds. Only a bunch of hungry (what’s new?) Mourning Doves showed up and began gobbling up all seeds.

I decided to wait for noon and then Lucy, Tyler and I went to a park where a large nice pond usually attract ducks or geese. The park is large and has playgrounds and other amenities for kids as well for adults.

For me it offers the opportunity to shoot some pictures of birds.

This post features a female Mallard enjoying the refreshing water like a good duck! Enjoy!
