Brown-Headed Cowbird, sp. name: “Molothrus Ater”

Description:

The Brown-Headed Cowbird is a small blackbird with short conical bill and dark eyes. They are a parasitic breed ( Lay their eggs in other kind of bird’s nests)  They do not hatch their own eggs.

The males species have black shiny body and brown head.

Females are gray with a pale throat and fine streaking on the underpants.

They usually travel in flocks and mix with other types of blackbirds such as Red-Winged Blackbirds.

Their habitat: They live in semi-open country, fields with cattle, and forest edges.
