I was going through my photo files and I found this panoramic picture of a Mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) I shot this picture on a pond in Dover, NJ. That’s all I have today other than pain of my lower-back when I move my left leg. Seems to be a pinched sciatic nerve. š¦
Today Iām going to talk about the Blue Grosbeak and show you a picture of a young one. The blue grosbeaks are very beautiful birds, their brilliant colors standout in contrast to the green vegetation. The very first time I saw one I was elated, I had never seen one bird with such brilliance in my life, itās not the same when you see a photo in a book, seeing the bird alive was a great experience for me.
My next door neighbors have 4 kids, the oldest one is 7 years old and a couple of years ago I gave him some extra copies of prints I did from birds. Well, last week I saw a rough version ofĀ bird feeder, his Mom told me that it was a School project and he made that one with a plastic gallon container with cut outs and a wood dowel across it and the teacher gave him some seeds.
I did something when I went to warn the parents about the snake and to be careful with the kids going there. I gave the kid a real bird feeder as a gift and he was very excited, not only him, he has 2 other younger brothers. They were all huddled together talking about the feeder. I told their Mom about how the love for animals or pets bring up the sense of compassion to good hearted persons when adults. She agreed.
I still have pain in my lower back when I move my left leg, I have the feeling that I must have pinched a nerve. However, the pain is less intense now.
Letās hope that by tomorrow itāll be gone. I hate to be inactive.
Hereās the picture of the young Blue Grosbeak:
Yesterday was a very busy day for me, I did the lawn, backyard cleared some grown brush etc. āthe worksā While I was getting ready to start a motorized weed whaker I realized I was standing about one foot from a snake about 4 ft. long at leastĀ 1 1/2 inch thick. It did not move, so I run back to my house to get a shovel and when I got back the snake was gone. I looked all over but I couldnāt find it. So I went for clearing more brush and keep snakes from hiding there. I took me a few hours of hard work but I did it!
Today Iām in so much pain, my back is killing me, I think I pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve. My wife will be back next week from NJ, sheāll take care of me š …Right!
I shouldnāt try to do too much at once. Never learn!
I bring you only one picture of a handsome fellow:
My daughter gave birth to a baby boy, his name is Tyler and heās doing fine, my daughter is having to take medications because her blood pressure is up and down, but medicine is helping her to be back to normal. My wife is there, spoiling the new baby and promised to bring me some photos of Tyler. G-d bless him!
After so long… I believe it was last Summer I had an Indigo Bunting at our feeders. I had time to shoot a few frames only. Iām posting one of them with you. š
By the way Iād like to invite you to my new Blog āPHOTOS i SHOTā for my other kind of photos, not related to birds.
