Once in a while I like to post pictures of Budgies because I know that they are very popular as pets and loved by many people. The budgies have been introduced to many countries all over the world and kept and cared in homes where they have adapted very well.
Of course I have photographed these birds in captivity because I haven’t visited Australia yet. The budgies are gentle birds, colorful and a bit noisy sometimes. I think they’re happy birds that enjoy sunlight and human company.

Now that rain is not as frequent as it was for the past few weeks, we get mostly grayish days with high humidity levels.
Well, non of that bothers the birds that mob the feeders daily.
I’ve bought a new hummingbird feeder and a songbird feeder to replace the old ones. So far I haven’t been able to shoot any pictures of a hummer yet. I can see them sometimes when I’m not with my camera ready. I’ll get them sooner or later.
I did get a short visit of European Starlings though, they are my featured birds for this post, the Starlings are usually evasive and timid whenever I get their visits usually last only a couple of minutes if I’m lucky!

One thing for sure is that the population of House Finches has increased in my backyard this year. I don’t mind that at all. I like to have birds fluttering around and particularly these birds are not rambunctious neither trouble makers.
I’ve noticed that couples are very close and keep themselves at short distance of each other at all times. Also noticed that they keep their brood near them and care for them constantly. They are nice birds and do not fear much other kinds of birds even if they’re larger. They do not engage in fights but do not fly away simply come back moments later and sneak in to the place where they wanted to be.
I’m posting a nice batch of photos for you to view. I just hope it is self explanatory about these birds.
