NOTE: This is the bird that I photographed first, after I set up a bird feeder in my backyard in Florida! Amazingly, it was a Northern Cardinal. What a coincidence!

Particularly enjoyed your excellent photograph of the Great Egret.
Yesterday was sunny and bright, today is dark, rainy and cool, we are waiting for the hurricane to pass over our area, by tomorrow we’ll be safer. our internet comes and goes, I just hope that our electric power never go. We’ll see how it works… Thank you, Susan. 🙂
Hope the hurricane misses/missed you, not nice.
Wow, H.J. a great Egret right outside your window! How good is that? And the Northern Cardinal, they do get around, as we have had them visit as far north as Alberta. Nice selection of feathered friends. I hope you are safe from Hurricane Ian, that will get a lot of birds off course.
We’re constantly watching the weather News because the hurricane Ian. It will pass over our area possibly tonight and go to the East side of Florida. and continue North to Georgia. Let’s hope that there’s no damage or floods. Thanks, Jane. 🙂
I am even more concerned as I hear the news. Hope you and your family are okay.
Beautiful, H.J.! I love Boat-tailed Grackles! Thinking about you right now with Hurricane Ian – I hope you are able to stay safe.
Although we are in the path of the hurricane Ian. I believe our house is solid enough to resist, being in the middle of Florida, at two hour and half drive either side of the coast of Florida. Thank you, Lisa. 🙂
I liked the egret on the fence. A most unusual shot.
Thanks, Tom! Yesterday I had 2 white ibis in my from lawn! 🙂
Looks like Florida is a haven for wading birds! Lovely images, as per usual, H.J.
