    • Your comment gives me an opportunity to report that this season my Cardinal bunch of families nesting in my backyard has increased by 50% in numbers and I suspect that they have had a double brood, kind of “A Summer of Love”. My seed consumption have tripled because I am feeding not only birds, also squirrels and a fat groundhog. However, my lawns, plants, shrubs, flowers are at optimum condition. The heat-rain combination is working wonders!
I hope it’s the same for you there, Linda. Take care dear… 🙂

      • If I only could keep the squirrels from raiding the refrigerator for their shelled pecans…! (It’s not that bad yet, but give them time.)

    • These photos are from my files from previous winter. The colors are different in cold weather. Thank you, Chris. 🙂

    • These photos are from previous winter season. Right now while I reply your comment is:
      Today: Saturday
      Thunderstorms: 15%
      Precipitation: 15% Rain
      Temp: 91° F
Have a Happy Red Saturday! 🙂

  1. The cardinals hang out around the edges of our property in the summer, only visiting the birdbaths every now and then. I look forward to their settling in for fall and winter here, when they add such zip and color to the snowy landscape.
    Cheers,
    Julie
