Photography of Birds – Set # 22
Set # 22 – (Local Birds)
House Finch
This handsome male House Finch, is actually sporting the red, adult plumage. Several families of these species nest in my backyard. They are proliferous and peaceful birds.
Brown-headed Cowbird
This is a male Brown-headed Cowbird. One of many that visit my feeders, through the season, they do leave when is time for migration, apparently they do not like the cold weather very much.
A pair of house finches were the first to arrive at my new feeders. They’re so pretty, and I love hearing their song.
I like them, they stay all year round and they are very family-oriented. Every year I enjoy, when I see the father feeding the little imps. Thank you, Linda. 🙂
Two wonderful shots, HJ! 😊
Thank you, Donna. 🙂
Nice photo of the House Finch. I like hearing their song. My photo did not fare well, because the finch was so high up and in shadow. I see the Cowbirds riding the bison at Elk Island National Park.
I like seeing my avian friends, too. Thanks, Jane. 🙂
We have a pair of Cowbirds this year. Never before. Thanks for sharing yours! Hope all is well, HJ! 🙂
Thank you so much, Dorinda. Yes, we all are well. 🙂
