Photography of Birds – Set # 19
Set # 19
Sanderlings
Tiny little birds, foraging for invertebrates living under algae on the beach shore. These are very quick walking birds I found at the Paracas beach in Peru.
Double-crested Cormorant
This lonely Double-crested Cormorant stood there on the rocks. The sea waters breaking next to him. He seemed to be deep in thought. I couln’t resist shooting this picture!
Happy Easter, HJ!
Thank you, Linda. π
Well spotted and captured!
Thanks a lot, Indira. π
Amazing how they can hide in plain sight!
You’re right, D. When I saw only one bird running from the shore to the bunch of algae knowing the bird to be a Sanderling. It was in a way, weird because they always feed in groups. I shot the picture anyway! They were five of them! Thanks, D. π
