What’s Up? – Seasons and Birds

Seasons and Birds

Our winter, so far has been a mixture of two seasons, winter and spring. Day by day it changes from cold, windy, balmy or rainy. Go figure!

In my backyard I see a good amount of birds coming to feed, more of the local bird variety. I’ve seen up to three hawks circling above the trees in several occasions, but they have never landed in my backyard. After the rains, I see crows picking earth worms from the roads all the time. The squirrels are always raiding the feeders. I don’t even bother with them anymore!

  1. I’m glad to have come across your blog! Here in Georgia, I think only this week we’ve begun to experience a bit of winter this season. It has been so surprisingly warm. None of the Redhead or Ringneck ducks have come yet. They usually arrive around January 1-5. Perhaps the cold this week will bring them and we can be ready with our long lenses!

    • I live in Northwest Georgia, also getting very low temperatures not very encouraging to do any field photography. I’ll be traveling to South America in two weeks from now and I’ll be back within a month. I’m hoping to do a lot of photography there. Thank you, William. 🙂
