Sad to consider the very similar but ‘separate species’ Bahama Nuthatch found only on Grand Bahama. Believed extinct until quite recently. Then about 6 were found after an intensive survey (genders unknown). Since Hurricane Dorian, it seems highly unlikely any will have survived to breed…
