What’s Up? – Much needed rain…
Much needed rain…
We finally got some rain last Friday! it was good enough to get every plant green again. It was needed badly. The weather temperature is still high, but I read a forecast saying that it will drop at least 5ºF next week! I’m hoping for that to happen.
My backyard is still busy with the local birds such as:
- N. Cardinals.
- Mourning Doves.
- Carolina Chickadees.
- Brown Thrashers.
- E. Towhees.
- Ruby-throated Hummingbirds.
- Song Sparrows.
- House Finches.
- Blue Jays.
I have a Groundhog eating all the seeds that drop on the floor of the deck, he does a great job.
I also have a problem, a cat that often comes to my backyard and he is using it as a hunting ground.
Sorry about the greedy groundhog and the hunting cat, hope they go away soon.
I don’t mind the groundhog but I mind the cat, killing the birds. Thank you, Susan. 🙂
I am sorry that cat is killing your birds, HJ. Is there anything you can do to keep it out of your yard? I am glad you have had some rain at last!
I love cats myself, but mine do not go outside. I’ll figure out the way to keep him away. Yes, we got some rain! But it’s hot! Thank you, Clare. 🙂
I love cats too but I know what trouble they can cause 🙂
Hooray for the rain, boo to the cat.
Thanks, Tom. 🙂
Glad you got some rain! We got a little. So dry here.
Here too! Thank you, Kendall. 🙂
Welcome!
Glad to read about that much needed shower of rain, but sorry to hear about the cat endangering the birdlife you hold so dear.
Thank you very much, D. I appreciate it! 🙂
Cats don’t like vinegar particularly. Try putting some down where the cat likes to sit.
The cat is not sitting around, he’s a hunter and very sneaky. Thank you for your suggestion, John. 🙂
Yay, rain! Love seeing your birds enjoying the shower, HJ! And, hey Mr. Cat, go find another area to hunt, this backyard is off limits!!!
You tell him, Donna! Thank you, my friend. 🙂
