Sometimes they will even attack small red objects they mistake for other males. Females usually sing after males establish territory but before nesting starts. Luv these images 🙂 The dominate male in my yard chases the juveniles from the sunflower seed feeder yet he seldom eats one 🐦 ❓ Mr House Finch and Jenny Wren then chases him away so everyone can eat {Titmouse, Chickadee, Song Sparrow, & Juveniles 🐦} It makes mine & Washe cats day just watching them 🙂 The Wren, which I furnish housing, & don’t even eat sunflower seeds, is the smallest, loudest bird in the yard, He rules 😉
