What’s Up? – Back to the cold…
Back to the cold…
I think I jumped the gun last week when I celebrated a moderate weather! This past week has been a total reverse, we are back to the icy cold weather!
What that cold weather means to my backyard? Most birds look for shelter and refrain from flying here and there. They most likely, preserve their calories and remain calm and warm in their nests, just like we humans do, generally.
When it comes to shooting photos, the days are too dark and photos come out very grainy not suitable for my blogging. I like my pictures to be sharp and colorful. my birds are like flowers, “flying flowers”, they are not very good subjects for B&W photos, of course , this is my opinion. It compares to shooting a B&W photo of a rainbow…??

Now that you mention it, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a black-and-white rendition of a rainbow. It would be a bit beside the point, wouldn’t it?
Thank you Linda. 🙂
What a collection of little beauties! We’re even having a little ‘cold snap’ here in Palm Beach County…it was only 41 degrees this morning. Hope it warms up for you soon!
No luck about that Carol. this morning was 17º F here! The cold spell is all over the EastCoast. Thank you my friend. 🙂
Enjoyed seeing all your backyard visitors, HJ. The starling is so stunning in this jazzy morph. Hope it warms up soon for all of you. Lovely post, my friend, and always a pleasure to be here.
What a coincidence this morning at 7:00 am was 17º F! On of the coldest days we had this year. Very cold for Georgia winter weather. The blackbirds blow my mind because they usually are gone by October or November. Thank you my friend. 🙂
Wow, that starling has interesting markings!
Thank you K. 🙂
Excellent pictures, I enjoyed looking at them.
Thank you very much Susan. 🙂
Nice series, HJ. Even the Starling is attractive!
Thank you so much Chris. 🙂
Charming gallery.

Wonderful gallery of beautiful birds, HJ! We’re cold up here in the mid-Atlantic too! Brrrrrr!!!!!
Thank you Donna. Please bundle up and don’t drive. 🙂
