I have bluejays galore these days, coming for peanuts for their babies. As many back-and-forth trips as they’re making, there surely are babies! And believe it or not, my next post is about a mockingbird — just as soon as I finish writing it.
I watched a mockingbird chase off a redtail hawk today. There’s no question the bluejay won.
I’m very familiar with the Mockingbirds they nest in my backyard and they act like they own the whole place! If you need photos you can use any from my blog for your post. Blue Jays come to my backyard with the Grackles and Starlings a bit later in May.
