Today is Sunday and I first saw the gorgeous cardinal portrait in The Reader and thought, uh-oh, does that mean no Saturday Reds? But, ahhh, here they are, special and glowing. A Saturday delight, and much appreciated, HJ.
That’s Ok my friend…You can always look back at any Saturday Reds, so far 348 pictures of cardinals with no repeats. They are my good friends and deserve my credit. Thank you very much. 🙂
I love the one on the windowsill. I’m in the UK where we don’t have red cardinals and I’ve often wished I could see them! Are they like finches or bigger? The beak looks like it’s for cracking open hard seeds.
I want to tell you that every Saturday I post exclusively for Cardinals. These birds are a bit bigger than finches. Their beaks are strong enough to crack seeds like sunflowers’. Thank you Val. 🙂
My favourite is the first one.
Thank you very much Susan. 🙂

Always a joy to see your Saturday Red Zone, HJ…..even on Monday! 😉
A good cup of Joe at 8:45 am. is very invigorating. Even on Monday! 😉
