I love this photo for a couple of reasons. The bird, of course, is lovely. But more than that, the name Phoebe suddenly recalled my 7th and 8th grade Latin teacher, Phoebe Wilcox. I found her obituary online (she died in 2000, at the age of 85) and learned a good bit about her that I wish I’d known at the time. Of course, I was a seventh grader and probably wouldn’t have cared one bit, but thanks for helping me know a bit more about my past, as well as about this lovely bird.
That sounds wonderful!…I’m like that too, there are many things that evoke my memories and then wonder, about the subjects, which many times I can not get any way to find out and just keep that as a pleasant memory. Thank you so much for sharing this story with us Linda. Happy Thanksgiving! ๐
