What’s Up?
My backyard is still the center of attention for many birds. I figure that must be like a safe haven for them since they can easily have a balanced meal of variety of seeds, water to drink or bathe, flower nectars, wild berries and plenty of trees and shrubs for building nests for shelter or to make them their home. I don’t think it is a bad deal for any kind of bird. It makes me immensely happy to be able to help these birds.

What do you think about this guy? He’s not a bird but has a bird complex. He gets along well with the birds and hangs out all day around the feeders and bird houses. I have a name for him: “Nutcase”.

I like your name for the animal.
🙂 Thanks Susan!
No wonder the birds like your haven.
Thanks Tom! 🙂
I love the way Nutcase just hangs around!
Isn’t he something? Thanks Christine! 🙂
These are the luckiest birds! Lovely photos of all your friends, HJ — and your friend Nutcase gave me a smile. Many thanks~~
You’re always so nice! Smiling is good! Thanks my friend! 🙂
“Nutcase” looks just awesome in your photos, H.J.! And I’m sure you are right about the bird complex 🙂
🙂 Of course I am! Thanks Tiny.
I’m especially partial to your beautiful little Carolina Wren. It must be a joy to listen to! Did you build that lovely bird house? Looks like the Swiss Alps and the squirrel clearly enjoys it 🙂
That birdhouse was a gift from a friend years ago, an antique. I just restored it from damage last Spring. Thank you Carol! 🙂
