Love these guys! I have a gazillion visit me daily and I never get enough of their antics. The male mating songs & dances have me sitting at my desk in awe… when I’m supposed to be working 😛
House Finches are fantastic parents of their brood. I enjoy their company too. Thank you for sharing! 🙂
I enjoyed your tribute to the beautiful house finch today, HJ. Of all the birds in this country, this one is the one that most people ask me about. They say, “I saw a beautiful bird today, he had a red head. What was that?”
Exactly! I heard some calling them “the other red bird, not the cardinal” It’s like when somebody knows you come from another State e.g.: “So you are from New Jersey I have a friend that lives there…do you know Barbara?..er, I don’t have her last name” Thank you Jet! 🙂
Beautiful birds, thank you.
Thanks Susan! 🙂
Such pretty birds, they look as numerous as our house sparrows and just as inquisitive. Thank you for sharing their antics!
These finches as well as the house sparrows thrive in proximity to humans and their possessions. Thank you for sharing Sarah! 🙂
In Thai these birds are called ‘baan nok krajiap’. Thanks for this post.
Thank you for sharing! 🙂
A beautiful gallery HJ!
Thank you very much Clare! 🙂
