Rainy Days in Georgia
Having a tropical hurricane ( Named Joaquin) moving north over the Atlantic Ocean, yet not too far from the East Coast, still is a powerful threat and could cause tremendous damage to the States parallel to the route of the hurricane. North Georgia is receiving large amounts of rain which eventually will end up in considerable damaging floods, but it would be the least affected compared to the other States of the East Coat.
Where I reside is approximately 275 miles from the coast, however, we have been getting rain all week long since the hurricane was still over the Bahamas and now we got weather forecast which say we are to get more rain but only a bit heavier.
Thus, our days are gray and dark, it rains for some time then there is a short break and not long after rain ensues. My birds wait for those lulls and come out to get some meals. My job is to replace the soggy seeds and quickly the birds start showing up. Not much else I can do for them. Note: This post was written on Saturday Oct. 3rd, 2015
One thing is for sure: Joaquin is not invited to my backyard!

What a colourful selection of visitors to offset the grey weather. I hoe it passes by without much damage.
Thanks Tom! 🙂
I hope the rain has stopped by now as Joaquin is long gone. The floods have been terrible along the coast. We’ve had a few gorgeous, fall-like days this week and I hope you have too. Wonderful gallery of colorful birds 🙂
