Sweet Birds of Youth
There are things that you see happening when observing birds and never cease to get a heart warming feeling, I’m referring to the times when I see young birds learning the ropes of living independently.
The crucial moment when they confront the wild world on their own and face other species without the help of their parents, those moment are critical for their survival and the perpetuating of their species.
Of course, part of their skills have been genetically inherited and they have to follow their instincts then apply what is natural to them. It’s a new and fascinating beginning for them!

I know just what you mean, H.J. I’ve been having similar thoughts just today, watching some baby ducks learning from their parents how to fend for themselves!!
By observing birds for a few years already I have learned a lot about life too! Thank you Carol! 🙂
The future belongs to the young ones! I agree with you, it’s a fascinating moment to witness them starting their independent adventure 🙂 Beautiful pictures!
Thank you very much Tiny! 🙂
The cardinal is my husband’s favorite bird. It always bring a smile to him when it finds our bird feeder where ever we are.
The cardinals are a favorite of many people! Thanks! 🙂
Fabulous gallery of all the juveniles. It’s heart-warming to see the circle of life continuing in the bird world. You are right, seeing the young always brings a smile to my face. 🙂
