Hot, Humid and Hungry!
We’ve had daily weather temperatures in the high 90’s for almost two weeks already, also thunderstorms once in a while. It’s not so much that the temperatures are high but most days are humid over 70% making the heat feel over 100º F!
The sun rises very early and the sun sets late about 9:30 pm. It’s hard to do any work outside because the heat becomes unbearable. I imagine that it may be the same for birds. There’s no breeze to cool the air at all. I’m glad that my AC at home runs continuously to feel comfortable indoors. If only the humidity would drop considerably it’d be a relief. Georgia has a record of being a humid State during Summer though.
Today’s post is kind of short but it has a Photo Gallery that shows some of my visitors, while their are having their meals. Enjoy!

I love humidity…but even I need a little break from it! The photos are awesome…as always. Take care of yourself and make sure to drink lots of water!! ❤
Thank you Lorrie! YesI do drink lots of water especially when working outdoors! 🙂
whew — sounds like that kind of weather where you’re forced to slow down. It’s great that you provide your birds with refreshment, they all look very satisfied, HJ. 🙂
I feel that I can make their day a bit easier. I’m sure the heat force them to spend more energy and they need to replenish it immediately! Thanks Jet! 🙂
Sorry to hear about the heat and humidity. Well, it is now officially summer. We are hot and humid and rainy too, a lot, although it seems to cool down a bit every few days, but I don’t know how long that will last. Your birds look great! And now we know why they hang out in trees. For the shade. 🙂
You’re right about the shade and the movement of the leaves create a cooling breeze too other than each leaf contains water and the evaporation creates a drop in temperature too. Mother Nature provides many alternatives, including myself as a human factor in the equation. Thanks Lisa! 🙂
Likewise if I didn’t have indoor birds I might not have central air… 🙂
What a joy to see all of them !
Thank you very much! 🙂
A great gallery.
Thanks Tom! 🙂
Lovely to see a great variety of birds dropping into your restaurant!
Thanks! 🙂
Glorious birds! We have had similar weather here for the last two weeks, but the sea breeze makes it a bit more bearable. I feel for the birds though, they don’t have AC like we do.
Thank you Tiny! I know, it’s hard times for the little birds! 🙂
Here in Michigan we are cool – high of only 69 today and we are supposed to stay in the 70’s for the next 10 days! They are predicting another cool summer for us. Stay cool, H.J. and continue to take good care of our feathered friends!! 🙂
I will take care of them Amy! Thank you! 🙂
They do look well attended to…. lovely bird friends you have! Hope the humidity drops and you’ll get some cooler days 🙂
Thank you Iris! Yes, we all are hoping for that change to happen! 🙂
I like all that happy munching.
Thanks Susan! 🙂
