Cool and Collected
We’re set in Spring mode in North West Georgia, with nice warm temperatures and sunny days but some mornings are still in the cool side. Not freezing but cool and high in humidity. I think that by now the rainy days are toning down. All trees and lawns are already green, flowers and shrubs are looking refreshed and strong. It’s a beautiful sight!
My birds are ready to eat every morning even before I go to refill the feeders, as soon as I do that you can see birds coming from every side of the backyard to get their meals.
The cool mornings make most birds fluff their down feathers to retain the body heat, this action of course. make them look rounder and their girth larger, It amuses me to see that and I think is funny in a way. On today’s photo gallery I include some shots depicting what I’ve mentioned above. Enjoy!

Lovely photographs, I liked the eastern bluebird best.
Thank you Susan! 🙂
That’s wonderful! But you better not be late 🙂
Are you kidding? That could cause a riot here! 🙂 Thanks Tiny!
😀
Beautifully delicate pictures! Hope everything is good with you 🙂
Yes it is Virginia, thank you so much! I hope you’re doing good too! 🙂
haha I bet there is a riot when you refill that feeder…great shots as usual 🙂
Thank you Neha! 🙂
You and the birds have a good thing going on there Avian, unfortunately the Noisy Miners are so aggressive here that they drive away most of the good small birds except the beautiful Rainbow Lorrikeets. It must bring great pleasure to have the birds call on you for their photo shoot rather than having to travel miles to hunt them down as I have to do in their native habitat. 🙂
I’m happy with my little bird haven, I help them and they help me! Thanks Ashley for sharing! 🙂
That house finch shot is priceless!! 🙂
Thank you Amy! 🙂
