When I see birds being challenged by harsh weather events, I admire! When I see those birds defy the challenge and fly to the feeders and get their seeds. My soul swells with pride. Some may be asking, why?

They confront the problems without hesitation and accomplish their mission, for their own survival or their peers. They do not coward and wait for someone else to do it for them nor they surrender to inactivity and die without any action to prevent their demise.

Is that any different from our own situation with our soldiers when they face the challenge of war? I feel the same admiration and pride when I see our own soldiers face danger in any confrontation with the enemy. We must not turn our backs to those soldiers. They sacrifice their lives for our sake.

Let’s stop for one second  of selfishly thinking about our ego, greed, lust, politics, social media and plain simple quirk stupidity; let’s switch to think about those men and women in uniform that will have to face the danger and when looking at death in the eye, bravely and without fear give one more step forward!

We should be loving them, admiring them with pride! Not criticizing or mocking their valor and their heroism!
