Break in Weather

Reading the extended weather forecast, the high temperatures will be subsiding to more moderate ones. Signs that Autumn is really setting in, slowly but surely. I’ve noticed that my lawn’s Bermuda grass isn’t growing as fast as last week. That’s another sign. It has been raining almost every day for short periods but frequent.

When it comes to birds, they are still around every morning and the rest of the day. Even the Hummingbirds are still feeding themselves with the nectar at higher rate of consumption.

The House Finch families are present daily and as is their habit, they fly in all together and leave all together. They are very family oriented birds.

Here are pictures of some of them. Enjoy!

  1. I am pleased your weather is getting less humid and stormy. I am also pleased the birds are still flocking to your yard and you are continuing to post such lovely photographs of them. Thank-you, HJ.

  2. Five years – congratulations H.J.! We have had a 20 degree temperature drop here in the north, definitely feels like fall! Time to unpack the sweatshirts. Enjoy your cooler temps, you should probably start seeing some new birds headed your way on migration.

  3. Congratulations H.J on five years of your wonderful blog. I am so grateful to have found you, as each post brings a smile and a sense of wonder at the sheer beauty of God’s creation in our feathered friends. Enjoy your weekend!

  4. Congratulations on your five years blogging, HJ. That’s a pretty impressive achievement. I’m backtracking to when I was here last, sprinkling a few likes here and there (though I ❤ everthing). Your wonderful photos are appreciated.
