Me too thinks it’s a kind of Cardinal, but am only guessing because of the little crest on it’s head and probably female, ‘coz the male birds in most species are usually bright and colorful!

Me too, I agree with everyone else – a female juvenile Northern Cardinal. I had to go back to July 16th to be sure, as the colour of the beak confused me. I see some have a more vivid beak colour, HJ, perhaps changing as they mature?
