Sopping Wet!
We had a couple of gray, dark rainy days. Despite the heavy rain I saw many birds out in the backyard. Conditions were not optimal for photography but I managed to shoot quite a lot of pictures at moments when the rain subsided temporarily.
The soil is well watered now and plants are back to bright green color. In fact I was mowing the lawn yesterday, the grass is looking good. Rain work wonders with plants.
While I was mowing the grass there was a Northern Mockingbird following me and picking worms and insects from the parts I had mowed. I thought that was funny and smart at the same time.
I have some pictures for you showing birds wet and not looking so happy. Everybody have ups and downs days!

The Tufted Titmouse was my favourite.
I’m sorry that they look wet! That’s a good choice Susan! Thanks! 🙂
Great captures of all the wet birds! That’s a pretty funny look on the female cardinal, her crest has a nice part in it! 🙂 I enjoyed these very much.
Thanks a lot Amy, I’m glad that you enjoyed it! 🙂
A lot of very wet birds! But some good photos of them – I especially like the miserable looking female cardinal!
Thanks Clare! 🙂
I really, really enjoy reading about the fun you have with nature HJ- And love your photographs! You can make even the gray look like silver!
You’re so kind A. I appreciate your words! 🙂 ❤
These photos put a smile on my face, HJ. I especially like those juvenile cardinals, looking a big scrappy on a wet day in their youthful state. 🙂
I do too, they’re like small children in my eyes! My son looks like that when he gets out of the pool! Thanks Jet! 🙂
Nice shots!
Thank you so much Kathy! 🙂
The Northern Cardinal is superb!
Thank you Barbara! 🙂
So very beautiful, and what a treat!
Thank you very much! 🙂
I love the look of the feisty cardinal, too. 😀
Thanks Christine! 🙂
