In the American/English language we hardly use those terms when referring to birds. I know is well marked in the English language. e.g Charm, murmuration etc. All I hear is flock, group. I think we like simpler ways. Especially when there’re more that 10,000 species in the world. Good question Colin! Thanks! 🙂

These are dear little birds! I like the dark background – the delicate colours of the birds feathers shows up so well against it.
