Spring Fever!

Last Saturday morning I went to my nearest Home Depot Store in the morning to buy just a few things that I needed. Got there and I couldn’t believe what I saw! Home Depot has a parking lot that is gigantic that could easily accommodate hundreds of cars but happened there weren’t any empty parking spots! The place was teeming with shoppers you’d think they’re giving supplies and tools free! My goodness! I’ve never seen the store so busy before in seven years that I’m living in Hiram.

It came to my mind that all these people were so anxious for the Spring and considering that the weather wasn’t cooperating to do any yard work, this fact kept people indoors as being in a siege thus depriving them from doing the obvious favorite activity in America… The care of their lawns and gardens! “Spring Fever”

My dark pink Azaleas are showing their bright flowers already, there’s an aroma of flowers in the air, and a ton of pollen too! All the cars are covered with the green dust!

I’ve been for the first time in my life affected by the pollen allergy, my eyes get so itchy and teary as soon as I wake up in the morning. I’m taking Anti Allergy pills and helps me quite a lot. It’s hard to shoot pictures with irritated and teary eyes and I forgot the runny nose.

But I’m fine and well, I think we need some rain to stir things up a bit, all plants need to have plenty of water to have a good start.

  1. Ha! Same here as well! Home Depot, Lowes, and all the nurseries are jammed with cars. People have Spring Fever – want to get OUT and into sunshine and dig in the earth and put out bird seed and shrug off this awful, terrible winter. Great shots! I bought a bird feeder myself…..!

  2. Hay-fever and pollen allergy are no fun. I have been suffering a lot too. We have a large packet of anti-histamine tablets and they are going very quickly! As well as lots of paper handkerchiefs!! We are forecast a very wet day on Easter Sunday.

  3. We went to two local Tractor Supply stores on Saturday and both were super-crowded and unfortunately terribly understaffed for a sunny spring Saturday. We’ve had such a harsh winter here in the Great Lakes region, everyone has been anxious to get outside and get their yards and homes spiffed up. Sorry about your allergies, I have awful spring and fall allergies. Thank goodness for antihistamines and nasal spray!

    • The pollen allergy is not a big deal! The pills I take help brillanty and I don’t get bothered when it rains. I feel fine most of the time. Thanks Amy! 🙂

  4. You have a hummingbird IN FLIGHT (so to speak) in your header for today !!! So much for my comment on the other blog. Teach me to be a smart-(_|_) !!!
