I Am a Camera

I’ve been trying to organize my photo archives for a while and I’ve done  a not so bad job with them. The problem is and always will be that I generate perhaps thousands of photos per week. and then later I have to process and categorize them. It’s very easy to forget this routine or postpone for later and then forget.

Anyway, I’m almost caught up with this tedious task. What I going to do next is purge those files and keep only what’s in good shape and what I’d consider good enough for my future blog posts.

I went outside and did two hours of yard work after lunch, it felt so good, I wasn’t tired at all!

  • – Last Monday I had my doctor check-up (Every 6 months), all the lab tests were fine.
  • – I saw some Azaleas starting to show flower buds.
  • – The giant Oak tree is turning green with new leaves.
  • – Some Iris plants are all green and growing.
  • – One rose bush that I planted 2 years ago of about 12” now it is over 6 feet high. I’m going to trim it because is leaning almost to the ground.
  • – Soon I’ll buy some plants for Lucy, she harvested Basil and Cilantro  enough for a whole year from 2 plants each. They are very productive plants.
  • – More birds are showing up at the feeders which is good for I will have more chances to get more pictures.

Next, some pictures for you. Enjoy!

  1. A most worthwhile period of your life ! – you must feel quite chuffed.
The nuthatch shot, with the single seed flying – sensational ! The house finch’s colouring is GORGEOUS ! Does the mocking-bird sing ?

    • The Northern Mockingbird (Mimus polyglots) is the most amazing singing bird, he can imitate close to 400 songs from other birds. Not only birds, insects and even machines like chainsaws etc. I love those birds! They’re fearless, I’ve seen them attack Hawks and Crows. They are very territorial and keep guard of what they think is their domain. Thanks M-R! 🙂

  2. I was quite drawn to that mockingbird photo! How wonderful to enjoy some nice spring weather and yard “work” – which never seems nearly as much like work when the weather is pleasant and the birds are singing. So glad your check-up went well, H.J.!

    • I thank you very much Amy! Yes, it’s wonderful to feel the breeze caressing your face and the warming gentle embrace of the sun. Not to forget the birds angelic singing in the background. 🙂

  3. There is a Northern Mockingbird in our neighborhood that sings lovely tunes. Until I read this post,
I didn’t know its name. I just name her Miss Songbird! 🙂 Thanks for the identification, again, H.J.!
