  1. It’s very interesting to me that you see dark-eyed juncos there in the south, as here in the north we tend to think of them as cold weather birds. I live in Southeastern Michigan and only see dark-eyed juncos here in the cold winter months. I know spring is coming because I have fewer juncos at my feeders, as they move north. Even at our northern Michigan cabin, juncos are not common in the summer. Great photo once again, H.J.!

  2. Your posts give me such pleasure, HJ ! – because it’s now quite obvious to me that I would be a twitcher if I were (a) younger and (b) fitter. I do so love birds …
