It’s very interesting to me that you see dark-eyed juncos there in the south, as here in the north we tend to think of them as cold weather birds. I live in Southeastern Michigan and only see dark-eyed juncos here in the cold winter months. I know spring is coming because I have fewer juncos at my feeders, as they move north. Even at our northern Michigan cabin, juncos are not common in the summer. Great photo once again, H.J.!
Your posts give me such pleasure, HJ ! – because it’s now quite obvious to me that I would be a twitcher if I were (a) younger and (b) fitter. I do so love birds …
Beautiful!
Thank you! Have a nice weekend! 🙂

I have the theory that the Dark-eyed Juncos ventured further south because the weather conditions were favorable. Thanks Amy, have a nice Sunday! 🙂
Great photo, H.J. We get juncos periodically here, too. Saw one just about two weeks ago.
I was happy to see this one after so long! Thanks Bob! 🙂

No snowbirds for us this morning but (sigh) we did get some more snow!!! Thx for sharing this adorable photo!
Just wait a little bit longer Lori! 🙂
I waited. It’s sunny. The snow’s gone! You were right!!! 😉
Thanks, HJ, for the lovely pic of one of my favorite birds!
I’m so glad Sharifah! Thank you! 🙂
