Wedding Anniversary

Now I can see the Spring mood is on, I’m happy to see many plants and trees showing their new shootings for the new leaves, grass is turning back to green and birds that I didn’t see for a while are back in town. It’s good to wear short sleeve shirts again! Soon I’ll be looking for my shorts too!

In the good note, Tyler is back to school, he missed only one day because the ear inflammation. He’s feeling okay now.

In the bad note, last saturday March 8th was my wedding anniversary and I totally forgot about it! I knew something was amiss when Lucy kept a not so friendly attitude and kept giving me the cold shoulder. Finally she asked me in a cold manner, colder than the Arctic Vortex I’d say… Do you know what day’s today? I innocently answered… Saturday? Then she said, tomorrow’s my sister’s birthday, March 9th. Then I was zapped by lightening! Oh dung nuggets! That moment I forgot how to talk…hum…ann…errgh. I saw my life in front of me like a movie, every bird and the thousands of pictures I have in my archives, you get the idea! That’s all I can tell you! You figure the rest of the story!

Oh well, life is like a box of chocolates, you open it and I’ll eat them all!

  1. Oh Dear, forgetting a wedding anniversary is a pretty big faux pas! 🙂 I’m sure all is forgiven now, as long as you gave her the whole box of chocolates. LOL Glad you are enjoying some spring-like weather! We got about 8 inches of snow in our blizzard yesterday and bad drifting due to 40 MPH winds out of the north. We went down to a low of -2 last night and set a new low temp record. But when I went out to put the bird food out this morning, the cardinals were singing, so spring is on the way!

  2. Thank-you for following my blog. I am enjoying reading yours and the photographs are wonderful. Regarding anniversaries – the decision to get married is a joint decision and a marriage is supposed to be a partnership so therefore the responsibility for remembering (or not!) the anniversary is a shared one.

    • Yes, you’re absolutely right. March is a month with a lot of birthdays from my family side and my wife’s too. Somehow I got confused and forgot about my anniversary, it’s the first time that has happened, she knows that! Thanks for your comment Clare! 🙂
