Sunday Outing

I’ve just returned from the Atlanta Airport where I dropped my cousin and his wife that are flying back to Florida. They where my guests in my home for 9 days.

Yesterday we spent the day in Atlanta and went to the Georgia Aquarium, the whole downtown was packed with people, mostly tourists. There was other events at the several arenas that are within the Sports Center and Parks. The thing was that traffic was heavy and slow. We had prepaid tickets including parking and reservations for 2:00 quick entry. I found parking space in the 6th floor of the Parking Building. The Aquarium was jam packed with people. I guess that most were there because the Aquarium was closed during the previous ice/snow days…and was Sunday!

I need a couple of days to return to my daily routine and will be writing my posts at least one day in advance. Thank you for your patience.

  1. Gorgeous, colorful photos, HJ! I bet your relatives cannot believe they encountered Georgia’s worst winter in years. Company is wonderful but it does keep you away from the norm and takes a bit of time to catch life back up. Take your time! 🙂

  2. Funny, I was dropping a friend off at the airport yesterday as well. There was an accident on 85 heading north….I should have ditched the backup and gone to the aquarium instead. Beautiful photographs!

    • The Aquarium was crowded and uncomfortable,it was hard to see with the crowd pushing you. Most people shooting pictures with their phones and standing one feet apart from the glass. Pushing each other to be in front. Thanks Elisa! 🙂

  3. What beautiful photographs! Looks like a lovely aquarium. I don’t go often enough to the one we have (something I did far more often when I was a child). I think you have kept up the blog remarkably with all your pleasant distractions. 🙂

    • To post bird pictures and write about them is no easy task, this is a non profit blog. However I can diversify a bit and touch other subjects that my followers might feel familiar with. By the way Georgia Aquarium is the largest in the world. Thanks Lisa! 🙂
