Fiasco, Day 1

The snow storm forecast kind of fizzle out so far. Last night rained a lot instead of snowing, and this morning is raining again! There’s an update forecast that rain might turn to snow or sleet later in the afternoon, the problem so far is that based on the weather forecast the city ordered all schools to be closed for 2 days!… so far there’s no storm!

People are furious for such drastic measures, decisions made in haste just to save their butts from what happened last time it snowed. I’m sure that this is going to be all over the media, they will criticize city officials for jumping the gun on this matter. It’s a great loss for industry, commerce, economy and education.

  To say the least! Got my car back and now we have all roads covered with one inch of ice! Not snow but ice and temperatures are below freezing! Oh dear!

  The storm came overnight on Wed. in the form of one inch of ice! This sheet of ice has paralyzed Georgia! All roads are impassable as are sidewalks and everywhere else. On top of it the temperature is below freezing so it will be a while before we can drive anywhere. I fixed the caption for the NM Thanks a lot Donna! 🙂

    Be extra careful walking on the ice, so easy to slip and fall. We’re to get the storm starting this evening, may start as rain but definitely going to snow for us. We’re in the 6-12″ range. But snow is so much easier to manuever than the ice for sure. Be safe!
