Cold and Windy Days!
The weather temperature has been decreasing as days approach winter new month. Multicolored leaves have hit the ground by now in most places the wind and rain have dispersed good part of the leaves to complete the natural cycle of autumn. By the time that trees are stripped of their leaves the cold temperatures of winter will be onset.
Migratory birds will be gone also, they will be flying south to their migratory areas of their preference or tradition. Right now, many birds have departed from my area and I see only a few that will be nesting locally and remain through winter.
I hardly see any birds lately due to the weather conditions, however I still refill all feeders every morning, I find them empty believe it or not. I have discovered a family of chipmunks that shares the spoils with Mourning Doves, Northern Mockingbirds and Carolina Chickadees. I’ve seen many American Crows lately but they limit themselves to forage on the ground for invertebrates or insects.
Due to the conditions mentioned above, I’m posting about subjects from my last vacation to Florida.
Next, I bring you photos of a fine bird: The Snowy Egret. Enjoy!

Always beautiful these graceful birds.!
To think that they became close to extinction at the beginning of the 1900s because they were hunted for their feathers to be used for adorning ladies hats. Thanks Carmen! 🙂
It seems that humans cannot simply appreciate and rejoice in nature’s beauty without killing the source and, then, wear the dead ones as accessories 😦
