Sing a Song for Me

One of my local birds, always present to pick seeds spilled from the feeders is the Song Sparrow.

The Song Sparrows make short flutterings and pump their tails downwards, also hops all over picking seeds from our deck. They are experts to sneak around bushes or under plants in my backyard. I, sometimes mistake them with  chipmunks that also share the loot.

These birds are very active on the ground and when flying they do it low and almost never go to high parts of trees.

I can hear them singing at times. I’d like to believe they sing a song for me!

  1. I am pretty sure they sing a song of appreciation to you!. I adore the Sparrow family and also mistake them for Chipmunk among grass blades I love the conviviality of these little friends, They make me laugh when they hop to let Chipmunk scurry around. Then, they carry on eating unfazed!. Much appreciated the pictures on your pretty diners, thank you!.
