House Finch Update
I wrote a post on July 11, 2013 about a yellow House Finch that visited my backyard. Well, today’s post is a kind of update on this bird, he came back and I could snap a few pictures, he has grown and looks strong and yellow.
It pleases me greatly when I can see a particular bird return to my backyard, normally, very seldom you see birds return after a period of time that can be recognizable.
It’s different when they nest locally and you can actually see them daily and even name them e.g. “Wonder Boy”

Very cool! I believe the variation in color has to do with a particular diet. I vaguely remember reading about that in one of my books.
It’s possible but this bird is part of a local group of finches that eat the same diet but are red instead. It might be just a morph.
