Young’uns

Now is a good time to post about the new generation of birds that are currently residents of my backyard. I’m referring to the various species that have made my backyard their habitat.

These birds are now the constant companions of their parents at the feeders and learning “the ropes”, everything that will help them survive in this world of competition.

Believe me, it’s fun to see how they sharpen their skills and how soon they are par with the rest of birds. One thing I should mention, they are fast learners. Seems like the rule is “learn or die”.

Today, I bring you samples photos of some of the “young’uns”!

  1. I love watching juveniles figure things out for themselves. Thanks for doing your part too, feeding in the breeding months; it’s like a little head-start program for birdies. 🙂

  2. Love the young’uns! What a fun time of the season in watching them. Especially love when they get really demanding, the parent just ignores them, and they get even louder if that’s possible. Just like a teenager wanting to be heard! 😉

    • Moments like those are the rewards for caring for them and observing how human like they behave. Go birds! 🙂
