Chipping Sparrow

I’m having fun shooting after breakfast lately. My strategy is that if I refill the feeders immediately after I’m done with breakfast I run to get my camera ready and just keep my eyes open for the influx of birds that show up from all sides. At about that time they all are hungry and don’t mind my presence so much. Some birds only feed for 3 or four minutes and fly away while others can hang out for hours.

This time I had a Chipping Sparrow for what it seemed long time and gave a great opportunity to shoot a bunch of pictures. In the past it has been hard to shoot because he wouldn’t stay for very long.

He’s my featured bird today!

  1. Lovely shots. And I’ll remember your strategy, if I ever retire. Right now everybody gets fed before I do and I am either running off to work or doing chores after breakfast… 😦
