My Friendly Visitors

One thing for sure is that the population of House Finches has increased in my backyard this year. I don’t mind that at all. I like to have birds fluttering around and particularly these birds are not rambunctious neither trouble makers.

I’ve noticed that couples are very close and keep themselves at short distance of each other at all times. Also noticed that they keep their brood near them and care for them constantly. They are nice birds and do not fear much other kinds of birds even if they’re larger. They do not engage in fights but do not fly away simply come back moments later and sneak in to the place where they wanted to be.

I’m posting a nice batch of photos for you to view. I just hope it is self explanatory about these birds.

I love these little birds. I’ve also noticed an increase and how they keep their brood close to them. I have about 10-15 at any one time at my feeders. As a community they get along very well. Very few fights. Nice post H.J.
