Brief Visits
The past few days have been warm and we had sporadic rain but not so intense. One thing I noticed was the amount of birds visiting my feeders, it has increased considerably. Bird traffic is continuous, I can see lots of fledgling of different species, e.g. House Finch, Common Grackle, Northern Cardinal, Mourning Dove etc.
I had short visits also which didn’t give me the opportunity to photograph as much as I’d have liked, birds such as: Blue Grosbeak, Eastern Towhee, Brown-headed Nuthatch etc.
One thing is sure, the seed consumption has increased and rain sometimes makes things worse because it washes away seeds.
