Growing up in the Pacific N.W. I was taken in and raised by Robins. Miss them since. Here there’s a similar bird, except it has a yellow chest…Pecho Amarillos. A mating pair visits the rail of my patio every day, until these loud, blue sugar thiefs show up and run them off. Thanks for the family reunion.

They’re camera shy. Whatever the blue birds are, they come into resaurants, alight on the table, and steal sugar packets only an arm’s length away. They don’t accept substitute either…only sugar. They look me in the eye, like I’m the interloper, then fly off to SugarBuzz Land. My wife is the photographer…her site is under shimmyshark…maybe you could identify these little azucar thiefs.
