Carolina Chickadee
Carolina Chickadees a small in size but giants in courage. When defending their nests they are brave and will do anything to deter an intruder from getting near their homes.
They will definitely confront any bird regardless of their size.
I’ve seen the C. Chickadees in my backyard from day one when I moved to Georgia. Every year they nest in the surrounding areas of my backyard and are also frequent visitors to my feeders.
My wife like these birds a lot. I like them too. I have a lot of admiration for them for reasons of their bravery.

What a little hero! I am in love – such a cute little bird;)
Thank you very much! 🙂
Cute, cute, cute. And unless you put them side-by-side with the Black-Capped, almost indistinguishable from their northern cousins.
Yes, they’re close relatives and great species! Thanks for sharing Lisa! 🙂
Nice series of images, H.J.
Thanks Bobby! 🙂
I love these guys! I was wondering if you had any tips on how to visually differentiate these guys from Black-capped Chickadees
I got this URL for you to check, it’s explained thoroughly: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/pfw/AboutBirdsandFeeding/chickadeeIDtable.htm
