Moving On
I think that the Carolina Chickadee families are moving on to their point of migration. The reason is that they haven’t been showing up at the feeders. I also went to see their main abode and found it empty and done for the season (See picture below). Inside the bird house I found a lot of debris, indication that has been used a great deal, maybe by more that one family. I’ve noticed the absence of several species of birds already. The number of Northern Cardinals and Mourning Doves is still high at the feeders. I see Chipping Sparrows once in a while and of course the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds that I think are about 5 in number. Gallery next:
- C. Chickadee entering the house
- Living the house to bring seeds
- He tries to decide what feeder to go to
- His choice was the roof feeder
- Look at thickness of nest over nest, lots of debris.

It’s kinda strange that the Carolina Chickadee has stopped coming to your feeders. It’s kinda early for them to be moving on and migrating.
This’s the reason why I’m posting this today, it’s not the ordinary season, the weather has altered apparently the migration schedules. Thanks for your comment!
