Moving On

I think that the Carolina Chickadee families are moving on to their point of migration. The reason is that they haven’t been showing up at the feeders. I also went to see their main abode and found it empty and done for the season (See picture below). Inside the bird house I found a lot of debris, indication that has been used a great deal,maybe by more that one family. I’ve noticed the absence of several species of birds already. The number of Northern Cardinals and Mourning Doves is still high at the feeders. I see Chipping Sparrows once in a while and of course the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds that I think are about 5 in number. Gallery next:
